  1. I would also add those linked in requests. You know the ones from somebody you emailed about something in your work life somewhere. Somehow that person has added you to their contacts. Now they want you to join them on linked in. Usually this is someone who you have had very little professional contact with and have really no idea who they are.

  2. Wire tangling is the worst crap in the world. Years ago scientists were awarded the noble prize for figuring out the science behind wires tangling themselves up. Apparently it’s very quantum but what it comes down to is there are more possible states for a wire to be in tangled up with itself than perfectly straight, so it always goes towards tangled. Crazy, frustrating and hilarious all at the same time.

  3. Great list! πŸ˜€
@everyone I can relate too! Not to exaggerate, but I’ve experienced each and every one of them, except for the “Midnight Hunger & The Closed Shops”. Most of them have solutions which can be done at your end (for example, the “Tangled Earphone”, if you’d do a quick Google search, you can find many solutions for it), except for the “The Buffering Video” and “RVR Cinemas”. “The Buffering Video” is almost always the ISP’s fault and there is nothing we can do about it, but to rage. Oh well, I guess one can’t have it all.

  4. This is good, highlights how lucky we are really.
I wonder what new tech induced niggles would appear in another 10 years “Draft, my hoverboard has such a low battery life” πŸ˜›

  5. I can relate to most of those the inconveniences. The prize winning award goes to the tangled wires. No matter how much care I put into fold them properly, I always find them tangled, it’s a nightmare! My bedroom door is always open, I have dogs and keeping them out of the bedroom isn’t a good idea if I want to sleep peacefully. Also I get really frustrated with the endless Candy Crush requests, it seems like everyone is playing it except me.

  6. It’s funny how nearly every technological change for the better that we have in today’s world, has it’s evil counterpart that just won’t allow your personal Utopia to exist. We struggle with cords, big phones that fall out of our hands and shatter on the pavement, and computers that crash whenever we try to get some work done. But then again, if there were no struggles, life might get a bit boring. πŸ˜‰

The tangled sock is the worst! And when you step into a small water puddle once you already got fresh socks on is a real tragedy, for sure. Also tangled earphones are magic, I think little gnomes in your pocket do it.

  8. It’s still a mystery to me how earphones automatically tangle into ridiculous knots without even so much as moving in your pocket. How does that even happen? What dark magic is at work here? Can’t inventors create an earphone set that stays straight all the time? I’m sure there’s a huge demand for it.

  9. I am glad that I’m not the only one who dwells on these dilemmas. There have been so many times when I have pondered this question – With all of the technology we have today, why has no one solved these problems? I guess I just expected more from the developments in our society….sigh!
